The Rock Pile

The Yankees may have lost in the post-season, but our other favorite team in pinstripes just won the pennant by sweeping the D'backs. Now if only the BoSox can rally against Cleveland so that I can root against them in World Series. Yes, Patrick, I said it: I want the Tribe to lose!

In other news, you really can tell that a certain "deliberative" body is in session because certain websites barely load, if at all. NYT and WashPost in particular have slowed down to a snail's pace. Being on the receiving end of this technological marvel got me thinking about whether it would be possible, under U.S. law, for the RIAA and MPAA to partner with telecommunications carriers to install the censorship technology that Cisco and Sun Microsystems developed for China. I need to check in with the expert.

The Sox have no chance against Cleveland's potent weapons -- nobody hits the straight ball very much like Pedro Cyrano, and the Wild Thing is unstoppable as both a starter and a closer. Willie Mays Hayes remains the best leadoff man in baseball. The only remaining question is whether I can get a half-Rockies, half-Indians jersey made before next Wednesday. And whether I violated any film copyrights in drafting this ridiculous post.

"You may run like Mays, but you hit like sh*t!"
