CN CBM

China has a few regulations (PDF) governing water pollution, but China's revised Water Pollution Law remains under consideration in the Standing Committee. In addition, China lacks a sustainable water quality management regime, but is poised to produce 500 mln. cubic meters of coalbed methane (CBM) this year. So you have to wonder what they're doing with the wastewater from the CBM production, given other environmental challenges here in the mainland and a lack of effective regulation.
