Beijing Chinese cooking classes
On Sunday we learned how to cook Chinese food from Sichuan province, courtesy of Chun Yi of Hutong Cuisine. The unique part about the experience was that Chunyi holds classes in the Houhai neighborhood, which is one of the last areas of Beijing containing traditional courtyard dwellings. We learned how to make a tofu dish, a chicken dish called "Three Cup Chicken," and a few other numbers that we will have to share with everyone at a later date.

We are looking forward to tasting all these new dishes...we'll just have to make sure we have a shiny new fire extinguisher near by.
