f.y.i., the article left out the following (vis electric cars). There was a technological suggestion (I read) to have a network of service stations remove and replace electrically charged batteries for electric vehicles, in lieu of fill ups to gas tanks. This could extend the traveling range of all electric vehicles coast to coast, if the $$$ were invested (or incentives made) to give capacity to the stations and convert to recharging easily replaceable (standard) batteries for electric vehicles.
